Guitar Improvisation Solo Techniques
This lesson section shows you how to improvise various scale and solo concepts in specific key structures.
In the first part of this section we'll look at improvisation over a simple progression, focusing on notes that stay within the single key signature. Students will work with basic recorded backing tracks and a drum machine to keep in time and structure with the progression.
Phase two of this study looks at how to solo over multiple key changes. Again, students will work with basic recorded backing tracks and a drum machine to keep in time and structure with the progression.
Lesson four in this series looks at how to improve your lead guitar solos and phrasing by focusing key elements including hammer-ons, pull-offs, finger tapping, pick tremolo, finger vibrato, pick harmonics, trills, slides and tremolo bar techniques. Students will work with recorded backing tracks and a drum machine to keep in time and structure with the progression.
