Rhythm Guitar and Chord Building
My Rhythm Guitar and Backing Tracks class focuses on an in depth look at constructing backing tracks and rhythm guitar techniques specifically focused on song construction using the Circle of 5ths. You'll be able to practice palm muting, alternate picking, strumming and many other techniques often found in various styles of music. We also discuss how to build chords using major and minor thirds.
My Rhythm Guitar and Chords Building class looks at the following chord types:
- Major and Minor Open Chords
- Major Barre Chords
- Minor Barre Chords
- 5 Power Chords
- 7th Chords: Diminished and Augmented
I then show you how to use these chords in specific keys using the Circle of 5ths to build songs using the I-ii-iii-IV-V-vi-dim7 chord structure system.
My Rhythm Guitar and Backing Tracks class looks at the following styles:

A very common complaint among guitar players is not being able to find the time to practice their instrument. So one thing we can discuss is about maximizing and using your practice time. However, many students, even though they take lessons, fail to learn how to strum correcetly, and changing chords smoothly without losing the beat.
The problems always has to do with excessive tension generated in the large muscles of the shoulder and upper body from improper attempts to utilize undeveloped finger and hand muscles. “Correct Practice” is the key to eliminating this tension.
Guitar rhythms are categorized into three levels: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Whatever your guitar playing or bass playing ability, there is a Practice Session for you.
